1/7/25 school tomorrow and website changes
I really miss my friends and I can't wait to see them again omg. I had a really good winter break, and its gonna be hard to get back into the school schedule again, but I'll thug it out lol. I'm pretty sure we're gonna be starting an independent reading assignment in english, and my mom had already bought me the book I needed a while ago, so that's cool. In my sculpture class, I have this assignment that I was meant to finish last semester, but I have to continue it this year. I'm kind of dreading it because I had already lost interest in it a long time ago, which I think is one of the reasons why my progress had been so slow. I have to like, cover it in tape or something, and then she's probably gonna make me put this cream like thing on it, I forgot the name. I don't even know how I want to paint it, I hate it. AP world history is another class I'm dreading. Honestly I don't even know how I managed to pass with a 90. I'm lowkey kinda impressed with myself that I pulled that grade with how much I struggled. Maybe I just keep worrying about nothing. My other classes are pretty okay, they're not too hard. I like to arrive nearly an hour early to school every day because my first period is outside in a portable, and my teacher is always there super early to let me in. And I use that time before school to draw or do my homework, it's really nice, I'm excited to get back to that. I'm considering taking my laptop to school to show my friends this website, but that's a wholeeee lot more weight to carry along with my chromebook and huge chemistry binder. And I'm pretty sure we're only allowed to do our work on school-issued devices, I wouldn't want to use my personal laptop for school anyway.
Now, about my website, I created a really cute landing page for it after discovering how to use the "position: absolute;" attribute, and it makes positioning images, text, literally anything a million times easier. Now that I know how to do that, I kind of want to redo my main page with the new things I've learned, but I worked so hard on it I don't want to just replace it immediately. I still really like my main page and I think I'll keep it for a good while longer unless I decide to just not redo it, then I would just keep it forever. One thing I do want to change though is move the stuff about me into its own "about me" page. I originally made the website to be an introduction to myself, similar to what I use strawpage for, but since I've browsed a ton of websites, I found that people normally make the "about me" page second to home, and using the home page to explain what the site is. Meanwhile, I tried to do both at the same time, so I think that's what I'm gonna work on next for this site.
